This programme offers students the opportunity to develop research excellence in the areas of sports, physical education, and physical activity and produce impactful research output, as well as developing professional skills, with a view to contributing to the wider community in areas such as human health and well-being. It is from this perspective that MPhil students can study physical activity and exercise using a physiological, psychological, biomechanical, pedagogical or sociological approach, or an inter- and multi-disciplinary approach.
In addition to the research study or studies conducted, students may be required to enrol in formal courses of lectures within the Graduate Division of Education and in other divisions of the University as deemed necessary.
